Balm of Gilead Oil and Salve

This oil is made from soaking buds in oil. The buds collected from downed branches of cottonwood trees in January through March have a very powerful resin in them. Soaking the buds in oil creates an oil that has strong anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. The oil also naturally has a surprisingly strong and soothing scent from the resin. It is common for customers to smell the oil, get a big smile on their face, and say “oh, I remember that scent from my childhood. We had that tree in my back yard.”
